Woman ID'd in fatal one-car crash

Petaluma police are hoping witnesses can help them better determine what happened in a collision that killed one woman and put the driver in jail for suspected drunken driving.
Police identified the woman killed as Yanira Raquel Ramirez, 42.
The Petaluma woman was riding with Nincy Flores Cruz, 26, of Petaluma who was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk, vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license.
The crash was at about 10:50 p.m. Friday, on North McDowell Boulevard, near Professional Drive.
The car hit a tree in the center median. Ramirez was dead when emergency crews arrived.
Cruz was driving a white, 1994 Buick sedan with four doors. The license plate was 3EQY137.
Lt. Tim Lyons asked anyone with information to contact traffic officer Walt Spiller at 781-3720.
