Farias’ kick just might be Empire mark
What’s all the commotion about, thought Rancho Cotate football coach Ed Conroy as his players celebrated what he believed was a 43-yard field goal by Eduardo Farias.
After all, Farias had already set a school record two weeks earlier with a 48-yarder against Jesse Bethel of Vallejo.
It wasn’t until halftime when Conroy was told it was a 53-yarder, maybe the longest field goal in Redwood
